On Thursday, international jumping resumed in Europe after a break of three months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Vejer de la Frontera, it was Spain’s own Eduardo Alvarez Aznar that took the win in the biggest class of the day – the CSI2* 1.45m. Riding Mogambo (Diamant de Semilly x Nabab de Reve), Alvarez Aznar was the fastest with a margin of 0.29 seconds down to his compatriot Mariano Martinez Bastida on Cleartoon (Cartoon x Voltaire). Alvarez Aznar also took the third place, aboard F (Bustique x Krunch de Breve).

At Hubside Jumping Grimaud in France, Italy’s Filippo Marco Bologni beat France’s Nicolas Delmotte in the CSI4* 1.45m that counted 41 horse-and-rider combinations. Riding Quidich de La Chavee (President x Apache d'Adriers ), Bologni was 0.21 faster than Delmotte and Ilex VP (Diamant de Semilly x Darco). Third place went to Ireland’s Mark McAuley on Miebello (Flyinge Quite Easy 958 x Cardento 933).
