Ansgar Holtgers Jr. (USA) and Kantibes (Hunters Scendro x Numero Uno) delivered a show-stopping round on the opening day of the Longines Global Future Champions presented by Lami-Cell at Longines Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, racing to victory with a faultless performance in 63.93 seconds in Friday’s CSI4* 1.50m class.

Hot on their heels was Daniel Deusser (GER), who piloted the ever-reliable Killer Queen VDM (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x For Pleasure) to second place in 65.35 seconds, while Laura Kraut (USA) secured third aboard the sharp Tres Bien Z (Toulon x Nabab de Reve) with a time of 65.48 seconds. Jérôme Guery (BEL) and Careca LS Elite (Carusso Ls La Silla x Rebozo La Silla) finished just fractions behind in 65.51 seconds for fourth, with Abdulrahman Alrajhi (KSA) and Heartbeat W (Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker) taking fifth in 66.50.

The first CSI4* class – a 1.45m two-phase – went to Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya and the 9-year-old Kannan S Touch PS (Kannan x Baloubet du Rouet). Clocking 26.56 seconds in the second phase, Moya set a pace none could catch, claiming victory in this competitive opener.

Just fractions behind, current world number three Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and Qasirah van de Reistenhoek (Emerald x Kannan) delivered a seamless performance to take second place in 26.71 seconds, while Giampiero Garofalo (ITA) slotted into third with Mont Rose HX (Entertainer x Diamant de Semilly) in 27.00 seconds. Kevin Staut (FRA) and Kannonqulan (Kannan x Quantum) were hot on their heels with 27.02 seconds, securing fourth, followed by Jérôme Guery (BEL) aboard Killer Queen (Diablo Blanco x Toulon) in fifth.
