French rider Fabrice Dumartin won the CSI3* Grand Prix at the Toscana Tour in Arezzo on Sunday, riding the 10-year-old Cannavaro (Con Cento x Quidam de Revel).
Fifteen riders qualified for the second round against the clock in this 1.50/1.60 competition, and it turned out to cause problem for most of them as only two riders went clear again: Fabrice Dumartin, and Piergiorgio Bucci with Heartbreaker vd Achterhoe (Bentley van de Heffinck x Catago Z). The Italian rider took home the second place after being 0.65 seconds slower than Dumartin.
Two riders followed with one time penalty each; Germany's Sven Fehnl with Deep Blue Bridge S (Zirocco Blue VDL x Ahorn) and USA's Justin Resnik with Carismo Z (Carthago Z x Galant de la Cour). Fifth place went to Italy's own Filippo Bassan with Bupina (Royal Star x Kroongraaf), who ended the shortened course with three time penalties.
