Great Britain’s Joe Stockdale and the 15-year-old mare Cacharel (Cachas x Quinar Z) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix – a competition counting for the Longines Ranking Group B – in Arezzo, Italy.
With a time of 43.57 seconds in a jump-off of five, they bested a field of 50 horse-and-rider combinations, taking the win ahead of Jens Wawrauschek (GER) on Mava S (Messenger x Sandro), who had to settle for the runner-up spot in 44.64. The host nation’s Roberto Previtali with Quirinus 27 (Quality Time TN x Balou du Rouet) completed the podium, placing third with a time of 49.41 seconds.
