Ireland's Billy Twomey and the 9-year-old gelding Kimba Flamenco (Je T'Aime Flamenco x Heartbreaker) won Sunday's CSI4* Grand Prix presented by Junta de Andalucía at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.
The 1.55m Grand Prix was worth 65.200 Euro, and saw 47-horse-and-rider combinations line up for the challenge. Nine moved on to the jump-off, where Twomey and Kimba Flamenco flew around in 36.43 seconds to take the win. Germany's Michael Viehweg riding Lord Of Pezi (Lord Pezi x Alexis) was close behind the winning time in 36.50 while Spain's own Eduardo Álvarez Aznar and Uqualin Du Saulcy (Quincy x Voltaire) took the third place in 37.18 seconds.
Manuel Fernández Saro on Usador Du Rouet (Crusador x Galoubet), also representing the hosts, was fourth and in equal fifth were Swiss rider Carlo Pfyffer and British rider Holly Smith.
