It was home hero Roger Yves Bost (FRA) and the 13-year-old stallion Cassius Clay VDV Z (Calvino Z x Wolfgang) that bested a field of fifty horse-and-rider combinations in Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m GL Events Grand Prix at the CSI4* Le Printemps des Sports Equestres – host to the French Master Pro Championships – in Fontainebleau, France.

With no less than fourteen riders in the jump-off, it was bound to become fast. With a time of 35.24 seconds, no one could do anything about Bosty – who took a popular home win. "I am so happy to have won this Grand Prix in Fontainebleau in front of such a big audience," Bosty said after his victory. "It's a real pleasure, and it's great for the morale. Even more so, considering things did not go that well for me in this morning's French Championship. My horse Cassius has been in good form over the last few shows, but I admit that it is not often he goes so fast in a jump-off. He is thirteen years old and getting faster by the day! He really enjoyed the big arena of the Grand Parquet and this is the first class we have won together."

Wilma Hellström (SWE) and Quinti Von Hof (Quicklij B Z x HRH Colombardo) placed second with a time of 36.31, followed by Reynald Angot (FRA) and Chrome d'Ivraie (Jarnac x Tigris) after the pair stopped the clock on 36.54 seconds. Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) and Ilex V.P. (Diamant de Semilly x Darco) finished fourth in 36.84 seconds, while Niels Bruynseels (BEL) and Delux Van T&L (Toulon x Landetto) took the fifth place after clocking a time of 37.68.
