CSI4* La Coruña started with a warning from Julien Epaillard, who kicked off the event with a win in the Marqués de Riscal Trophy, after clocking the best time in the opening 1.35m class on Sheriff de la Nutria LM (Diamant de Semilly x Papillon Rouge). On the podium, Epaillard was accompanied by home rider Kevin Gonzalez de Zárate and another Frenchman, Aldrick Cheronnet.

Canadian rider Tiffany Foster won Friday's feature class, the NH Collection Trophy – a 1.50m against the clock. Riding the 11-year-old gelding Brighton (Contendro II x Quick Star), Foster snatched the first place from Aldrick Cheronnet on Tanael des Bonnes (Watch Me x Don Pierre) who with a time of 65.61 seconds held on to the first place for a long time. But with a seamless run and a time of 65.53 seconds, Foster proved that challenges are made to overcome them. She was accompanied on the podium by Cheronnet himself and another Frenchman, Reynald Angot, who finished in 66.49 seconds, riding Symphonie des Biches (Kannan x Damiro B).

Aldrick Cheronnet was the man of the day in La Coruña, being three times on the podium and signed off the day with triumph in the 1.45m Dachser Trophy after an incredible performance.

Cheronnet came out last in the jump-off with Atlantys by Wisbecq (Argentinus x Darco) and beat all his rivals with a time of 40.13 seconds. The winner was finally accompanied by his compatriot Olivier Robert and the Portuguese rider Marina Frutuoso de Melo on the podium.
