France’s Cyril Bouvard and the lovely Quasi Modo Z (Querlybet Hero x Quidam de Revel) won the CSI4* Grand Prix in Poznan on Sunday. The French rider had one of only two clears in the first round of this 1.60 competition, and playing it safe in round two – as second-to-last to go – Bouvard took his time to record a time penalty which was still good enough to take home the win.
Poland’s own Mściwoj Kiecoń on Urbane (Landeur x Winckenburgh) had the other clear from the first round, but took a risk as the final rider in the ring and had to settle for 5th place.
The runner-up was Thomas Velin with Chopin Van Het Moleneind (Quick Star x Darco). Another Danish rider, Andreas Schou with Lenardo Der Kleine (Lenardo x Fabelhaft) – ended third. Velin recorded three time faults over the two rounds, while Schou had four faults from the first and was clear in the second.
