Italy's Emanuele Camilli and the 13-year-old mare Chacco's Girlstar (Chacco-Blue x Sandro Boy) concluded this week's CSI4*-W Jump Saudi in Riyadh with a win in Saturday's 1.55m Grand Prix counting for the Longines Ranking Group B.
Four of the 19 horse-and-rider combinations in the Grand Prix jumped clear rounds to move on to the jump-off, where Camilli clocked the winning time of 47.47 seconds. Belgium's Jan Vermeiren and the 9-year-old mare Qmusic-K Van 'T Kattenheye (Le Blue Diamond Van 'T Ruytershof x Cornet Obolensky) placed second after crossing the timers in 48.00 seconds. Abdulrahman Alrajhi was best on behalf of the hosts after adding eight penalties to his score in the jump-off with Heartbeat W (Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker), finishing third. Italy's Roberto Previtali and I'm Special Mess PS (I'm Special de Muze x Messenger) also recorded eight faults in the jump-off to end fourth, while two time penalties in the first round left France's Charles Henri Ferme and Katmandu (Kannan x Calido I) fifth.
