France's François-Xavier Boudant and the 9-year-old stallion Hitot de Riverland (Comme Il Faut 5 x Diamant de Semilly) claimed victory in Sunday’s CSI4* CWD Grand Prix of the City of Cabourg, the highlight of the 2026-edition of Cabourg Classic.
In a jump-off of six horse-and-rider combinations, they got the better of Julien Épaillard (FRA) and Le Coultre de Muze (Presley Boy x Vigo d’Arsouilles), who had to settle for second, and Belgium's Robin van Thillo aboard My Jewel's Magic Touch (Stakkato x Dominard), who placed third, while Alexis Gautier (FRA) on Dairzel Duverie (Air Jordan x Persian II) followed in fourth and Charles Henri Ferme (FRA) aboard Katmandu (Kannan x Calido I) in fifth.
"To beat Julien, and to win in Normandy, at home, is cool," François-Xavier Boudant said. "It's always nice to win, let's not pretend otherwise. On top of that, Hitot is still young and I believe in him a lot. I really think he is a wonderful horse. He had already produced great performances in Fontainebleau. Today, he truly confirmed everything I think of him.”
