Gregory Wathelet (BEL) and the 12-year-old gelding Double Jeu d’Honvault (Kannan x Cook du Midour) won Friday’s CSI4* 1.50m Prix de la Loterie Nationale at Jumping International de Province de Liége 2025 on home soil in Belgium.
With a time of 42.32 in the second round, Wathelet snatched the win from his compatriot Gilles Thomas, who had to settle for second with Chuck Marienshof Z (Colestus x Emerald) in 43.02.
Only the top three produced a double clear result, with Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Cous Cous 3 (Cachas x Lasino) placing third in 44.99, while a fence down in 41.07 left Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) and Cortez van’T Klein Asdonk Z (Cornet Obolensky x Andiamo Z) fourth. Thibeau Spits (BEL) and Impress-K van’T Kattenheye Z (Indoktro van’T Kattenheye x Vagabond de La Pomme) followed in fifth with four penalties in 43.22.
