Belgium’s Gilles Thomas and the 9-year-old mare Lavanoche T&L Z (Lavallino ter Klomp x Bentley van de Heffinck) won Thursday’s CSI4* 1.50m presented by Barceló at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.
With a time of 58.11 seconds, Thomas and Lavanoche T&L Z snatched the win from the hosts – that showed great form by taking three of the top five placings. Carlos Bosch Cebrian (ESP) and Jolie van der Berghoeve (Jaguar vd Berghoeve x Kannan) had to settle for second in 59.62, followed by Cebrian’s compatriot Kevin Gonzales De Zarate Fernandez and Cantuccini 17 (Kannan x Quidam’s Rubin) in third in 61.15, while Armando Trapote (ESP) and Karl P (Carrera VDL x Burggraaf NV) finished fourth in 61.79. Riccardo Pisani (ITA) and Chacco’s Lawito PS (Chacco-Blue x Lawito) rounded up the top five, taking the fifth spot with a time of 61.96 seconds.
