It was double Swiss on top in Sunday's CSI3* Grand Prix at the Riviera Sun Tour in San Giovanni in Marignano, with Steve Guerdat and Edwin Smits in first and second.
Guerdat and nine others moved on to the second round against the clock in this 1.50m Grand Prix that counted a total of fourty riders. The reigning World Cup Championswas the fastest aboard the 10-year-old mare Hannah (Dulf van den Bisschop x Kashmir van't Schuttershof) stopping the clock on 53.44 seconds. Three seconds behind followed Smits riding Rouge Pierville (Ultimo van ter Moude x Narcos II), while Czech rider Kamil Papousek ended third aboard Centisimo (Centadel x Stakkato) – also he double clear with a time of 56.97.
Two home riders rounded off the top five: Filippo Marco Bologni and Alessandro Zanoni.
