Thursday's CSI4* 1.45m Longines Ranking class in Gorla Minore, Italy, went to Germany's Hans-Dieter Dreher and Jiniki (Dallas x Cantos).
A total of 23 horse-and-rider-combinations out of the 77 pairs at start cleared their way into the deciding jump-off, where Dreher stopped the clock on 41.95 – taking the win ahead of current world number three Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Easy Star de Talma (Quick Star x Opium De Talma) in second in 42.66. Annelies Vorsselmans (BEL) and Jolita (Arezzo VDL x Quasimodo Z) placed third in 43.48, while Edouard Schmitz (SUI) and Quno (Quo Vados I x Cashandcarry) finished fourth in 43.91, followed by William Funnell (GBR) aboard Equine America Billy Picador (Billy Mexico x Animo) in fifth in 44.25.
