Hans-Dieter Dreher and the 13-year-old gelding Cool and Easy (Contender x Riverman) went off with the victory in Thursday's CSI5* Prize of Bank J. Safra Sarasin AG in Basel.

Eighteen of the 57 riders in this 1.50m competition against the clock went clear, but it was the German rider that was the fastest of them all with a time of 54.29 seconds. Not too far behind in 54.53 seconds followed Great Britain's Michael Whitaker on the 15-year-old Viking (Jacomar x Almox Prints). French rider Simon Delestre finished the course in 55.13 seconds on Sultan du Chateau (Kannan x Galoubet A) ending third.

Earlier in the day, the 1.45m Prize of Grosspeter Nutzfahrzeuge AG saw an Italian duo on top with Emanuele Gaudiano taking first and Luca Moneta second.
