Harrie Smolders (NED) and the 13-year-old gelding Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan) won Friday's feature class at CSI4* Samorin, the 1.50m competition against the clock presented by Coca-Cola.
The X-Bionic Sphere Indoor Masters has welcomed a strong group of riders this weekend, and it was the European Vice Champion that was the best in the biggest class of the day. With his time of 62.81 seconds, it was close to runner-up Lucas Porter (USA) on Diamonte Darco (Unbelievable Darco x Unknown) who stopped the clock at 63.03 seconds. Martin Fuchs (SUI) ended third on his new ride Cool and Easy (Contender x Riverman) with a time of 63.07 seconds, while fourth went to Lance Whitehouse (GBR) and fifth to Romain Duguet (SUI).
"I have never been here before, but it is unbelievable facility," said Smolders about the X-Bionic Sphere. "The footing, the stabling, the permanent stables, also the size of the rings. It's amazing!"
