As the last four weeks of the traditional Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, have come to an end, we look back at some of the highlights from the 29th edition of the event which this year attracted a record number of horses and riders.
With more than 1000 riders and 3500 horses in action in nineteen different rings, jumping a total of 483 classes during the tour, of which 40 were FEI Longines Ranking classes, it's safe to say that the Andalucía Sunshine Tour is one of the most popular destinations for showjumpers in Europe.

Ireland's rising star Niamh McEvoy impressed during the tour with several strong performances, and concluded it all with a 5th place in the invitational CSI4* 1.60m Andalucía Grand Prix aboard the 9-year-old Olivia de Muze N.

Michael Pender and HHS Calais took back-to-back wins in the CSI4* Big Tour Grand Prix classes during week six and seven. First they won the CSI4* 1.55m Suzuki Grand Prix, then the invitational CSI4* 1.60m Andalucía Grand Prix.
Billy Twomey and Lady Lou won the CSI4* 1.45m La Equina Small Grand Prix during week six of the Andalucía Sunshine Tour.
During the tour, there are eight members of staff dedicated to taking care of all the ring maintenance at the venue – ensuring excellent footing such as in the stunning David Broome arena.
