Qatar’s very own Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani took a popular home win at the HH the Emir of Qatar Sword Festival at CSI5* Al Rayyan on Friday. Riding the 11-year-old-gelding Anyway II (No Limit x Farmer) in the 1.55 feature class of the day, Al Thani produced the fastest of the clear three rounds in the jump-off to take home the victory.
Turkey's Omer Karaevli and Dadjak Ter Puttenen (Toulon x Vanitas) finished as runners-up 0.17 seconds behind Al Thani, while Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander and the only 9-year-old Clinton (Cantos x Voltaire) took care of the third place with the final double clear of the class.
Earlier in the day Morocco’s Abdelkebir Ouaddar went to the top in the 1.45 speed class aboard Cordano Sitte (Carthago x Major de la Cour).
