Julien Gonin took a home win in Thursday's biggest class at CSI4* Jumping International de Saint-Lô, when he topped the 1.50m Prix France Étalons aboard Caprice de Guinfard (Mylord Carthago*HN x Socrate de Chivre).

Aboard the 9-year-old gelding, the French rider produced the fastest clear of the 57 pairs in the class when he stopped the clock at 62.71 seconds. One second behind followed Gonin's compatriot Jean Luc Mourier with the 11-year-old gelding Kielekoo Van T Et L (Carabas Vd Wateringhoeve x Canadian River), while Great Britain's Willian Whitaker finished third with Galtur (Cornet's Stern x Balou du Rouet) – 1.5 seconds behind the winning time. Belgium's Dirk Demeersman finished fourth with G'Majo van de Caloo Meerschen (Ugano Site x Vigo D Arsouilles St), followed by his compatriot Ann Carton-Grootjans in fifth with Kai Licha de Carmel (Prince van de Wolfsakker x Quidam de Revel).
