The second-day action at Tops International Arena Summer Event 1 once again offered great sport, beautiful weather and varied podiums with a mix of nationalities at the prize giving ceremonies including familiar and new faces.

Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) secured the first CSI4* victory of Saturday onboard Chili (Consolidator x Berlin) in the 1.45m, when clocking the fastest time in the jump-off: 34.49 seconds. Pessoa was followed by Tobias Meyer (GER) and All I Need - H (Inshallah de Muze x Utrillo vd Heffinck), who were only 0.33 seconds behind on the clock. Third place went to Wilm Vermeir (BEL) and Joyride S (Toulon x Pachat II), who crossed the finish line in 34.94 seconds. 

The biggest win of the day went to local Dutch rider Mel Thijssen after a rapid round on Florida Balia NL (Bustique x Lux Z). The super fast pair sped with ease around the huge grass arena claiming the lion's share of the 1.50m €51.300 speed class, 0.76 seconds ahead of Abdel Said (BEL) and Goldenstar (Bacardi VDL x Ipsylon B). Third place went to France’s Philippe Leoni and Miss Marie van't Winnenhof (Edjaz van Merelsnest x Toulon), who was three seconds slower than Thijssen.
