A busy start to the week at Angelstone, the facility is buzzing with energy in anticipation for this weekend's Kubota Triple Crown Finale, and the Ian Millar Legacy Grand Prix.
This week is packed with featured events, such as the Equus Integral Open Welcome, the Equijet U25 Final, the OHJA Young Horse Development Series, the Cabana Coast Young Horse Final, Hunter Derbies, and last but not least the Ian Millar Legacy Grand Prix.
Yesterday in the Main Stadium, the FEI 2* Open Welcome present by Equus Integral. A technical course challenged horse and rider combinations to leave all the fences up and doing this under the limited time allowed.
Thirty-six combinations took a shot to beat the course set by designer Oscar Soberon from Mexico. Five horses advanced to the jump-off, where the always fast Leslie Howard was untouchable aboard Quadam. Runner-up was Canadian native Susan Horn, and to complete an all-girls podium Alexanne Thibault stood on the third step riding Sanjay to a third-place finish.
