The 2026-edition of CHI Al Shaqab presented by Longines concluded on Saturday night in Doha, Qatar, with the CSI5* 1.60m Al Shaqab Grand Prix presented by Longines, where Brazil’s Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and the 10-year-old mare Charly Heart (Cornet Obolensky x Heart-Ache BS) took the top honours.

“I couldn’t be happier to win this week,” Marlon said in a press release from CHI Al Shaqab. “My mare is naturally a quick horse, and that helped a lot. We brought her here with the goal of building up to this Grand Prix, and throughout the Tour she was consistently in the top five in the big classes she jumped. She learned a lot here and gained confidence. The arena and the facilities really helped with that.”

Eleven pairs from the 42 at start cleared the first-round track set by Uliano Vezzani (ITA). In the jump-off, Zanotelli and Charly Heart stopped the clock on 36.65 to take the win ahead of Pieter Devos (BEL) and Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky x Cicero Z) in second in 37.84, while Roger Chammas (LBN) aboard Glondon Di San Giovanni (London x Cardento) completed the podium in third with a time of 39.64.

“I’m very happy with my horse again,” the second placed Pieter Devos said in a press release from CHI Al Shaqab. “Last week she jumped three clear rounds in the Grand Prix, and today she was double-clear once more. I’m really pleased with how well my mare jumped, it’s the beginning of the season, and she has learned so much here. This venue gives you so much support for good horses to develop week by week. She jumped even better than last week. The fences and the arena here push horses to progress step by step.”

Two Danish horse-and-rider combinations followed in fourth and fifth, with Andreas Schou on Uriga VA (Uriko x Clarimo) and Caroline Rehoff Pedersen aboard Polonis L (Le Blue Diamond van’T Ruytershof x Andiamo) rounding out the top five.
