Edited press release from Longines Global Champions Tour
Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) and Zy-Zento (Zento x Indoctro) raced to victory on the first day of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome in the iconic Circus Maximus, taking the win in the CSI5* 1.45m speed class with an unbeatable time of 55.28 seconds.
Close behind was Gregory Cottard (FRA) aboard Gammelgaards Carola (Companiero x Aston) who set the bar high early on in the class with a time of 55.85, ultimately claiming second place. Fellow countryman Edward Levy left it all in the ring, soaring across the course aboard Lyon van de Plataan (Kahsmir van Schuttershof x Heartbreaker) to secure third, stopping the clock at 56.59 seconds.
“I am very pleased with the win today,” said Zanotelli to GCTV. “He is an amazing horse. He is so careful and he is the type of ride I love to have. The venue is just amazing, I love coming to this show in Rome and the city itself. I just love the feeling here and I think that’s also reflected in the ring.”
