The second day of the 15th edition of the Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais in Paris (FRA) was punctuated by the thrillingly successful performance posted by the French Jeanne Sadran – Hermès Partner Rider – and Dexter de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago x Diamant de Semilly) in Saturday’s main competition, the CSI5* 1.55m The Saut Hermès.

As the only double clear in the competition, the 23-year-old secured victory in the Saut Hermès, a two-round class reserved for the ten best male riders and the ten best female riders from Friday’s Prix Hermès Sellier.

Faster with Commissar Pezi (Commissario x Böckmann's Lord Pezi), Switzerland's Martin Fuchs – the current world no. four – had a fence down in the second round, leaving them second just ahead of Belgium's Gregory Wathelet with Bond Jamesbond de Hay (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) in third.

“I’m super happy," Sadran said. "It’s been a great day for me. This is my Grand Palais-debut and I’m very pleased with this victory and the fact that I’ve been able to thank the Hermès-house, which is now supporting me. Dexter is a machine. I think he’s one of the best horses in the world. He has all the necessary characteristics. I also feel increasingly confident in myself and I’ve managed to gain experience.”

Earlier during the day, Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Vasco 118 (Vivant x Chacco-Blue) won the CSI5* 1.50m Prix GL Events ahead of Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Flamby des Forets (Contendro I x Tlaloc M) in second and Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) on Legend (Ogano Sitte x Nabab de Reve) in third.
