Thirty-three horse-and-rider combinations stepped through the iconic Clock Tower at the Spruce Meadows 'Pan-American', presented by Rolex, on Saturday to challenge course designer Anderson Lima's (MEX) first-round track in the CSI5* 1.50m Friends of the Meadows Cup, that featured 13 obstacles and 16 jumping efforts.

Jordan Coyle (IRL) and For Gold (For Fashion x Heraldik) were one of seven pairs to jump clear in the first round and advance to the jump-off. Aboard For Gold, Coyle crossed the finish line in 38.64s, over two seconds faster than Patricio Pasquel (MEX) and Gazelle SM (Orient Express x Caritano Z), who finished in second with a time of 40.75s while Conor Swail (IRL) aboard Qoreen van't Ruytershof (Mosito vanhet Hellehof x Levisto Z) took third in 40.81.
