The 2023-edition of Chantilly Classic concluded on Saturday with an American victory in the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix de la Ville de Chantilly as Laura Kraut and Bisquetta took the top honours.
A total of 17 pairs out of the 50 at start at picturesque Chantilly cleared their way into the deciding jump-off, where Kraut and her 9-year-old mare Bisquetta (Bisquet Balou Vd Mispelaere x Takashi Van Berkenbroek) were the fastest – crossing the finish line in 41.26. It was double American on top, as Giovanna Rinaldi and Parrandero (Clarimo x San Patrignano Cassini) finished second in 41.32.
"It was a fantastic week here in Chantilly, and I’m so pleased with Bisquetta," Kraut told World of Showjumping after her victory. "She is only 9-years-old, but she handled herself so well today. I have high hopes for the future with her."
Home hero Roger Yves Bost and Delph de Denat HDC (Air Jordan x Tlaloc M) took the third place with a time of 41.42, followed by compatriot Valentin Marcotte and Diego Del Caribe (Kannan x Quidam de Revel) in fourth in 42.23. Canada’s Beth Underhill completed the top five with a time of 42.35 seconds in the jump-off, aboard Dynastie de Beaufour (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I).
