The sun and the holiday vibe returned for today’s classes at Knokke Hippique’s Summer Circuit.

It was the final day to qualify for Saturday’s CSI3* Grand Prix, and you could feel the anticipation in the air as the CSI3* Grand Prix qualifier, presented by Equihome, began on the Zoute Plage.

In total, 15 horse-and-rider combinations out of the 82 in the class moved on to the jump-off. Margie Goldstein-Engle (USA) was one of the initial riders to jump and came home with a spectacular, fast clear round aboard the 12-year-old Dicas (Diarado x Cassini I) to stop the clock at 39.61 seconds. Many tried to catch her time and some did, however the Audi-combination caught them out and proved to be the deciding obstacle in the jump-off course.

Felipe Amaral (BRA) and Androide 3k (VDL Zirocco Blue x Indoctro) ended second with a time of 40.62, while Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) and Narcos vd Smidshoeve (Toulon x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) finished third with a time of 41.24 seconds. Fourth went to Pedro Junqueira Muylaert (BRA) and C'Est Dorijke (Argentinus x Burggraaf NV), and fifth to Filippo Tabarini (ITA) and Exquise du Pachis (Vagabond de La Pomme x Ogano Sitte).
