Mathieu Billot provided a popular home win in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Bourg-en-Bresse on Sunday. Riding the 10-year-old mare Shiva d'Amaury (For Pleasure x Lando), the French rider moved on to jump-off as one of eight riders and was the fastest one stopping the clock on 38.97 seconds.
Billot's compatriot Bernard Briand Chevalier came closest to finish as runner-up on Qadillac du Heup (Helios de la Cour II X Thurin *HN), almost a second behind on the time. Third place went to Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts on Zilverstar T (Berlin x Cavalier), while Dutch rider Albert Zoer finished fourth on Gigolo (Cicero Z x Quickfeuer van Koekshof) and Robert Breul fifth for the hosts on Arsouilles du Seigneur (Schilling x Chellano Z) all with double clear rounds.
