With a very fast jump-off in 35,68 seconds, Mathieu Billot won the 1,55 Rabobank Championship of Rotterdam riding Shiva D'Amaury (For Pleasure x Lando).

No less than 18 out of the 48 riders made it to the jump-off with a track consisting of several long turns that didn't give the riders so many options, so everybody needed to go full speed to have a chance to win. The jump-off consisted of six fences including a combination as no. three.

The jump-off started off well with the first two riders - Ben Maher with Sarena (Calvaro x Damoiseau d'Or) and Kent Farrington with Blue Angel (Luidam x Ascendant) - being clear. Vincent Voorn got the 4th fence down on Quinlan (Quidams Rubin x Acrobat), while Pedro Veniss got four faults on the a-element riding Rissoa D'Ag Bois Margot (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Artichaut). Giulla Martinengo Marquet was next to go with Fixdesign Istafan Sissi (Istafan x Szeplak X-28) and with her 38,98 seconds she went into second behind Farrington.

Leontine Ledimar Z HDC (Lodefever II x Grosso Z), ridden by Patrice Delaveau, looked very anxious to get to the fences but lost some times in the turns, ending the course in 40,15 seconds. The b-element of the combination stopped Douglas Lindelöw and Udermus (Odermus R x Jackson) from being clear. Paul Estermann on the other hand did a speedy clear round with Lord Pepsi (Lord Pezi x Santander H) squeezing in to third.

Doron Kuipers went all in from the start to the finish line, taking over the lead with Zucces (Gerlinus x Kenwood) in 35,93 seconds. Santiago Lambre had to settle for 8 faults with Rahmannshof Before (Tenerife VDL x Matterhorn). 38,02 was good enough for a second place so far for Jamie Kermond  with Quite Cassini (Cassini I x Quidam de Revel), but he didn't get to keep it for long as the next  rider, Lucy Davis with Barron, went into runner-up position with her 37,83 seconds.

Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof's Uppity (Guidam x Epilot) looked like they knew what to do, and  also like the pair that would go to the top of the podium taking over the lead in 35,91 seconds. But it only took until the next rider to prove that wrong - Mathieu Billot found the forward distance on every single fence speeding through the finish line in 35,68 seconds.

The three riders following gave it a go, but poles where falling for Jos Lansink, Harrie Smolders and Julia Kayser, so Billot could celebrate a win in Rotterdam!
