Edited press release from Hubside Jumping Grimaud

He was announced as the guest-star of the fifth week of competition at the Hubside Jumping Grimaud - Golfe de Saint Tropez and the German legend Michael Jung did indeed hit hard today on the Côte d'Azur track at Haras des Grillons.

Riding Fischerchelsea (Check In 2 x Argent), Jung won Friday's main class – a CSI4* 1.50m counting for the Longines Ranking, after a jump-off with nine horse-and-rider combinations. Jung was 20/100th of a second ahead of French rider Julien Anquetin on Cesus de Fougnard (Tlaloc M x Calvaro) who ended second, while Morgan Bordat – also representing France – took the third place on Uma (Calvaro F.C. x Veneur d'Etenclin).

In the second CSI4* class of the day, the eventing multi-medallist finished in a very honourable fourth place, this time riding Fischerdante (Diarado x Alvarez 17). The class was won by French rider Mégane Moissonnier on Camelia de la Vigne (Corofino*Gfe x Diamant de Semilly). It was a French trio on top: Jerome Hurel on Fair Play d'Esquelmes (Darco x Carthago) placed second, while Francois Xavier Boudant (FRA) on Gfe Cicave du Talus (Untouchable M x Voltaire) placed third.
