Michel Robert (FRA) won both of Friday's main classes at the Hubside Fall Tour. The French veteran kicked it off with a win the 1.50m class riding Emerette (Diarado x unknown), and continued with taking the top honours in the 1.45m class with Une Etoile Landaise (Balougran x Socrate de Chivre).
The 1.50m class went over two phases and as many as 20 horse-and-rider combinations cleared both. Robert stopped the clock at 24.62 seconds, slightly ahead of runner-up Charlotte Bettendorf (LUX) with Bellefleur Ps Z (Berlin x Quidam de Revel). Third place went to Morgan Bordat (FRA) with Uma (Calvaro F.C. x Veneur d’Etenclin), who crossed the finish line in 24.86 seconds. Bordat was only 0.01 seconds ahead of fourth placed Edward Levy (FRA) with Uno de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly x Siego). Fifth place went to another French rider; Laurent Goffinet with Atome des Etisses (Mylord Carthago*HN x Quidam de Revel).
In the 1.45m class it was all about speed straight from the start. Robert took the victory ahead of runner-up Paul Delforge (FRA) with Terre du Banney (Crown Z x Olisco), followed by Jerome Hurel (FRA) with Icarus V’T Klavertje Vier (Bentley x Palestro vd Begijnakker), Hugo Breul (FRA) with Valine de Preuilly (Diamant de Semilly x Sandro) and Michel Hendrix (NED) with Fair Field (Zirocco Blue x unknown).
