Thursday's CSI4* 1.50m at 4Foulee at the Wola Hippodrome in Poznan, Poland, saw Kristaps Neretnieks (LAT) aboard Palladium KJV (Lancer III x Cornet Obolensky) and Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) aboard Ceika Malouine (Quickly de Kreisker x Lord Calando) tie for the win as both riders stopped the clock on 71.45 seconds.
The Trophy of Equestrian Wielkopolska – counting for Group D of the Longines Ranking – had 52 pairs at start, and 18 of them completed the 1.50m course without faults. "My horse was competing on grass for the first time and it seems he liked it! I’ve been riding Palladium for more than one year now, it’s an amazing horse with a big heart. We managed to win today and score some points for the Olympic Ranking, which I’m very happy about," Neretnieks said in a press release from 4Foulee.
“I love Poland, but it’s my first time at 4Foulee. The arena is amazing and the ground is very well-prepared," Ouaddar added.
Gefried Puck (AUT) and Equitron Melody vd Smidshoeve (Epleaser van'T Heike x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) placed third in 72.40, while Dirk Demeersman (BEL) and G'Majo van de Caloo Meerschen (Ugano Sitte x Vigo d'Arsouilles) finished fourth in 73.16 and Alexander Butler (IRL) fifth in 73.66 aboard Chilli B (Berlin x Cardento).
