There was only one double clear pair in the CSI5* Grand Prix Longines of Ascona presented by LGT Private Banking on Sunday: Penelope Leprevost (FRA) and the 12-year-old gelding Gain Line (Stolzenberg x Raphael).
The couple was one of seven in the jump-off, where they signed the only clear round. Faster than Leprevost was Irma Karlsson (SWE) on the 10-year-old mare Ida van de Bisschop (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Papillon Rouge), but with one down they had to settle for second place. Third place went to Robert Whitaker (GBR) on Catwalk IV (Colman x Corleone), also he with a faster time than Leprevost, but like Karlsson on a score of four faults.
Christophe Vanderhasselt (GER) finished fourth on Identity Vitseroel (Air Jordan Z x Darco), also he on four faults – which was the case for Paola Amilibia (ESP) on Prunella d'Ariel (Diamant de Semilly x Laudanum) that ended fifth too.
