Italy's Piergiorgio Bucci and the 12-year-old gelding Hantano (Quasimodo Z x Numero Uno) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix in Valencia, Spain.
Besting a field of 35 horse-and-rider combinations, the Italian rider took the win with a double clear round in 37.36 seconds, followed by Joe Whitaker (GBR) and Hulahupe JR (VDL Bubalu x Indoctro) in second – clocking a time of 38.73. Tiara Bleicher (GER) and Otto de Kalvarie (Jenson van'T Meulenhof x For Pleasure) placed third with a time of 42.55.
With a fence down each, Santiago Lambre (BRA) and Chacco Blue II (Chacco-Blue x Cincaba Rouge) had to settle for fourth in 37.65, while Jack Whitaker (GBR) and Equine America Valmy de la Lande (Mylord Carthago x Started) finished fifth in 38.78.
