Crowd favourites Quickly de Kreisker (Diamant de Semilly x Laudanum) and Abdelkebir Ouaddar were not to be beat in Friday’s 1.55 Grand Prix qualifier at the CSI4* event in Bour-en-Bresse. The Moroccan rider produced two great clear rounds in the Longines Raking class, and was outstanding in the jump-off with a round that nobody could match taking out strides on every single stretch with Quickly flying the fences finishing on 36.83 seconds.
The followed three French riders and an American. Closest to the popular pair came Mathieu Billot on Shiva d’Amaury (For Pleasure x Lando) who was almost three seconds behind on the time. Cyril Bouvard ended third on the lovely Quasi Modo Z (Querlybet Hero x Quidam de Revel), while fourth place went to Morgan Bordat on Star de Beviere (Jazz Band Courcelle x Narcos II) who as first to go in the class set a clear round. Bliss Heers ended fifth on Prado K (Prado x Dynast) with the final double clear in the ten-horse jump-off.
