Robert Whitaker (GBR) and the 13-year-old gelding Evert (Amadeus x Indoctro) won Saturday's CSI4* 1.50m LVM Versicherung Prize at Horses & Dreams in Hagen, Germany.
The class, which was a qualifier for Sunday's BEMER Riders Tour DKB Grand Prix, had 63 starters and twenty of them managed to deliver clear rounds. Fifteen decided to return for the jump-off, where Whitaker rode a lightning-fast round to stop the clock at 35.73 seconds – a time that none of those to come could catch. “Evert was very fast in the jump-off and jumped very well," Whitaker said. "I was disappointed to only finish fourth with him yesterday, today I wanted to improve on that result.”
Sophine Hinners (GER) finished second with Million Dollar (Plot Blue x Vigo d'Arsouilles) with a time of 37.04, while the third place went to Irma Karlsson (SWE) on Chacconu (Chacco-Blue x Perhaps van het Molenvondel) who crossed the finish line in 38.34. Mario Stevens (GER) and Starissa (Stakkato Gold x Quidam's Rubin) finished fourth, and Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann fifth on Chesmu KJ (Cornet Obolensky x Calido I).
