Romain Duguet continues to show top form; yesterday the World Cup-winner from Helsinki went on to take the victory in the Grand Prix qualifier at CSI4* Liege. The 1.50 Prix du Ministere des Sports saw no less than twenty riders going clear and moving on to the jump-off, where Switzerland's Duguet had the fastest clear round at 36.28 seconds aboard Otello du Soleil (Alligator Fontaine SF x Papillon Rouge).
Great Britain's John Whitaker followed in second on Argento (Arko x Gasper), just 0.46 seconds behind on Duguet's time. In third place came France's Patrice Delaveau on Leontine Ledimar HDC Z (Lodefever II x Grosso Z), stopping the clock on 37.02 seconds.
Later in the evening home rider Gilles Dunnon made a popular home win in the Masters competition presented by Sangyoung. Riding Wesselina (Cumano x Mytens), the Belgian rider was clear all the way and had the fastest time in a battle against Robert Whitaker to take the top prize of 15.000 Euro.
