Romain Duguet (SUI) and the 10-year-old mare Twentytwo des Biches (Mylord Carthago x Kalor du Bocage) won Saturday's main class at CSI4* Samorin, the 1.50m competition against the clock presented by CZ Slovakia.
The X-Bionic Sphere Indoor Masters had fifty riders lined up in this competition counting for the Longines Ranking, and ten of them produced clears in the winning round. With his time of 39.18 seconds, Duguet took home the win 0.54 seconds ahead of runner-up Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) on Compadre van de Helle (Casall x Concerto II).
Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski (POL) ended third on Silver Shine (Califax x Balou du Rouet), while fourth went to Marcel Marschall (GER) and fifth to Ann Carton-Grootjans (BEL).
“I’m really happy, my horse jumped fantastic. I knew I had to be really fast to win, but my horse did not disappoint me and together we made it,” said Duguet after his win. “I find this show really super, the atmosphere here is unbelievable – both the horses and the riders are happy here. I really hope I will be able to come here once again!”
