The current world number one, Great Britain’s Scott Brash and his 2024 Olympic team gold medal winning mount Hello Jefferson (Cooper vd Heffinck x Irco Mena) topped Thursday’s CSI5* 1.55m jump-off class – a competition counting for the Longines Group A – at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar.
After winning Wednesday’s five-star opening class at the 2026-edition of CHI Al Shaqab presented by Longines, Brash and Hello Jefferson took another big win on Thursday, clocking the winning time of 39.93 in a jump-off between ten horse-and-rider combinations. Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Vestmalle des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet x Landor S) took the runner-up spot with a time of 40.82, while Santiago Lambre (BRA) on Zeus Z (Cartogran x Chacco-Blue) completed the podium in third in 40.86.
Abdulrahman Alrajhi (KSA) and Lorenzo ES (Comme Il Faut 5 x Casall) finished fourth when crossing the finish line in 42.71, followed by Duarte Seabra (POR) aboard Dourados 2 (Diarado x Cornet Obolensky) in fifth, only fractions behind in 42.76.
