World no. one Steve Guerdat (SUI) and the 13-year-old mare Uranie de Belcour (Flipper d'Elle x Diamant de Semilly) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix Mail Boxes Etc. in Gorla Minore, Italy.

Fifty horse-and-rider combinations had qualified for the Grand Prix, and thirteen of them managed to produce clear rounds to move forward to the jump-off. Fastest of all was Guerdat, who also won the CSI5* Grand Prix in Grimaud, France, last week. With a time of 33.32 seconds, Guerdat left Harry Allen (IRL) on Guinness (Nabab de Reve x Katell) behind him in runner-up position – 0.24 behind. Third place went to Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) and Instanbull vh Ooievaarshof (Casall x Calido I), after the pair crossed the finish line in 33.94 seconds. Fernando Martinez Sommer (MEX) on Cor Bakker (Colandro x Quattro) ended fourth and Alexander Kumps (BEL) on Luigi van de Kornelishoeve (Carabas v/d Wateringhoeve x Capital) fifth.
