Belgium's Koen Vereecke and the 10-year-old mare Oilily de Muze (Vigo D Arsouilles STX x Ramiro Z) won Friday's CSIO5* 1.45 VBR-Prize at CHIO Aachen 2024. With a time of 27.64 in the second phase of the class, Vereecke was the fastest of the eight riders jumping double clears.
“It is always nice to win, but to win in Aachen is all the more special," said the happy winner afterwards in a press release from CHIO Aachen.
In 28.39 seconds followed Germany's Philipp Weishaupt and Mescorial PS (Messenger x Cornet Obolensky), while the third place went to Switzerland's Romain Duguet and Stawita PS (Stakkatol x Lawito) who clocked a time of 29.13. Two more German riders followed as fourth and fifth: Marco Kutscher on Outrageous Charmer (Presley Boy x Cumano BD), and Cedric Wolf on Capitano Z (Cornado NRW x Lordanos).
