Belgium's Koen Vereecke and the 10-year-old mare Oilily de Muze (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Ramiro Z) took the top honours in Thursday's CSIO5* 1.50m Prize Suttero in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Six horse-and-rider combinations out of the 42 at start cleared their way into the deciding jump-off, where Vereecke and Oilily stopped the clock on 46.85 seconds – leaving the hosts nation's own Romain Duguet and Hunger Games du Champ du Bois (Elvis Ter Putte x Mytens) to second in 47.22. Duguet's compatriot Janika Sprunger finished third with one time penalty in 48.56 seconds aboard Orelie (Emerald van't Ruytershof x Nabab de Reve).
With a fence down in 45.60, Ireland's Denis Lynch and Vistogrand (Fantaland x Mr Visto) had to settle for fourth, while Switzerland's Martin Fuchs and Commissar Pezi (Commissario x Böckmann's Lord Pezi) finished fifth on twelve faults in the jump-off.
