It was a British victory in the 1.50m Eurostars Trophy, Friday's biggest competition in A Coruña and the first CSI4* class of the event. Guy Williams and Rouge of Ravel (Ultimo van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) were the best pair of the nearly 40 participating horse-and-rider at Casas Novas, with a time of 31.46 seconds in phase two of the competition.
The last rounds were decisive for the podium, as the first, second and third place were decided among the final riders who entered the arena. Brazil claimed second and third: Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and J-Figyelem (Vingino x Animo) finished in 32.27 seconds, while their compatriot Pedro Veniss stopped the clock at 33.08 on Sun Flower du Theil (Allegreto x Quidam de Revel).
Later in the day, Iván Serrano Sáez took a home win in the Massimo Dutti Trophy. Riding Rain Man (Chacco-Blue x breeding unknown), the Spanish rider left French rider Aldrick Cheronnet behind him in second and Brazil's Felipe Ramos Guinato in third.
