The two star 1.45 Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Nights event in Lier, went to Wouter Devos. Riding the twelve year old mare Tonik Hero (Ogano Sitte x Elegant d’Lile), Devos joined up with no less than eighteen other riders to battle it out in the jump-off after first clear rounds. The Belgian rider was by far the fastest against the clock though, with a second down to runner-up Jos Verlooy on his new ride Hello Sunshine (Diamant de Semilly x Hardi) – a horse previously seen under Scott Brash.
It was all Belgian on top, as Sven van Dijck finished third and Thomas van Minnebrugge fourth.
