As last to go in the 1.50 Audi Prijs - Saturday's feature class at CSI3* Jumping Indoor Maastricht - Albert Zoer stole the show. Nine riders moved on to the jump-off of the class, that had a lot of faults - and that counted as the second and last qualifier for the Grand Prix on Sunday.
It was Switzerland's Janika Sprunger that took an early lead in the jump-off after a very fast round on Aris CMS (Nassau x Amethist), stopping the clock on 36.40 seconds. Riders came and went, and it almost looked like Sprunger wold take the victory - but as last to go home rider Albert Zoer wanted it different. A daring and near impossible turn on Gigolo (Cicero x Quickfeuer van Koekshof) made the difference, and gave Zoer the advantage bringing the time down to an incredible 34.64 seconds to cheers from the home crowds as he left the ring. Third place also went to a Dutch rider; Joy Lammers on Winny (Quasimodo Z x Hamilcar).
