This week, the GC Playoffs of the GCL Super Cup and the LGCT Super Grand Prix take place at the 02 Arena in Prague (CZE), with a total of 11,25 million Euros in prize money on offer.
The best four GCL teams from the 2025-season’s overall standings head straight to the GCL Super Cup Semi-Finals, while 12 teams – those placed 5th to 16th during the season – have to battle for a spot during Thursday’s Quarter Final. The best eight teams from Thursday meet the top four teams in the Semi-Final.
Saturday’s LGCT Super Grand Prix is open to those that won a LGCT Grand Prix during the 2025-season. Abdel Saïd (BEL), Emanuele Camilli (ITA), Scott Brash (GBR), Marco Kutscher (GER), Harrie Smolders (NED), Jérôme Guery (BEL), Gilles Thomas (BEL), Simon Delestre (FRA), Christian Kukuk (GER) and Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) will be joined by Gerrit Nieberg (GER), Thibault Philippaerts (BEL), Philipp Weishaupt (GER), Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Anastasia Nielsen (MON).
Thursday – GCL Super Cup Quarter Final
The GCL Super Cup Quarter Final on Thursday is a 1.60m Table A, one round against the clock – with €1,350,000.00 in prize money. The competition is open to 12 teams – those placed 5th to 16th in the overall standings of the season – with three horse-and-rider combinations per team.
The teams will start in reverse order of their placing in the GCL 2025 overall standings. There is no drop-score; the classification is established according to the total penalties of the three riders per team, as well as their aggregate times.
The eight best teams from Thursday’s Quarter Final qualify for Friday’s Semi-Final, where they will be joined by the top four teams from the 2025-season standings.
Friday – GCL Super Cup Semi-Final
Friday’s Semi-Final will be jumped over a 1.60m course, judged as a Table A, one round againt the clock. This time, the prize pot is at €2,000,000.00. Just like in the Quarter-Final, there is no dropscore and the team with the least penalties in the quickest time is ranked first.
Saturday – LGCT Super Grand Prix
On Saturday, it is time for the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, where all the LGCT Grand Prix winners from the season meet for a final battle.
Jumped over two rounds set at 1.65m, the prize purse for this competitions is at 1,25 million Euros. The starting order for the first round is established by a draw, while the second round is jumped in the reverse order according to the penalties and times of the first round.
Sunday – GCL Super Cup Final
The final team event takes place on Sunday, with €6,5 million on offer. Jumped over two rounds set at 1.60m, the competition is open to the six best teams from the semi-final team competition held during the week.
The winning team will be established adding together the total penalties of the team’s three horse-and-rider combinations in the two rounds. In case of equality of total penalty points, the aggregate time per team in the second round will be decisive.
The competitions in Prague do not count for the Longines Rankings.
