Press release from Deutsches Spring- und Dressur-Derby
Peder Fredricson (SWE) and his super star H&M All In (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Andiamo Z) won Thursday’s CSI5* 1.50m Mercedes-Benz Championat in Hamburg, and a brand new Mercedes-Benz C-class Cabriolet.
Thirteen horse-and-rider combinations made it to the jump-off, but only three delivered a clear round over the shortened course. Fredricson crossed the finish line in 46.34 seconds, slightly faster than runner-up Luciana Diniz (POR) with Vertigo du Desert (Mylord Carthago*HN x Robin II Z) who stopped the clock in 46.56 seconds. Third place went to Andre Thieme (GER) with Crazy Girl V (Clinton x Gralshueter) who took his time around the course to end up with 56.85 seconds.
Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) ended fourth riding Kingston van het Eikenhof (Epleaser van T Heike x Alexis Z) ahead of Marc Houtzager (NED) with Sterrehof’s Dante (Canturano x Phin Phin).
“I like big grass arenas where the horses really can use their canter. All In is in very good form, he had his ups and downs but for the moment he is in a great shape,” Fredricson said after his win.
Diniz, who ended second, said: “I have already been here after ending second or third, but I’m very happy with that. I haven’t had the horse for so long, so I’m really happy that it worked out so good today.”
