CSI5*-W Gothenburg Horse Show 2023

On Thursday evening, the curtains closed for Peder Fredricson's H&M All In (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Andiamo, bred by Bas Huybregts) at Gothenburg Horse Show as the now 17-year-old gelding was thanked off from the sport after a long and successful career.

During his illustrious career with Fredricson, H&M All In won six championship medals including individual silver at the Rio Olympic Games, followed by team gold and individual silver at the Tokyo Olympic Games. In 2017, the two were crowned European Champions on home soil in Gothenburg, where the Swedish team also claimed silver. At the 2022 World Championships in Herning they were part of the Swedish squad that won gold. Winning five-star Grand Prix classes at venues such as Falsterbo, Knokke, Rotterdam and Stockholm, H&M All In has since 2015 earned over 1,3 million Euros in prize money and finished on the podium in 56 international competitions. Fredricson and H&M All In also contributed to the Swedish Nations Cups wins in Rotterdam in 2017 and in Falsterbo in 2019, posting some of their many clear rounds for their country.

"There are mixed feelings. I will miss steering towards an obstacle, miss his power when he jumps, the intelligence he has in his jump. I will miss having such a horse in competition, of course I will. But, that's also why I'm retiring him now – I really want to remember him at his best, I want to remember the feeling that I'll miss and I want everyone to remember him the same way," Fredricson said.

"I am very happy that I had these ten years, that he has really come into his own, that he received these medals and had such a career. And, that he can finish on top and be acknowledged here in Gothenburg. That way, I do it with joy," Fredricson continued.

"I would like nothing more when I buy a horse for it to have a career like this, to be able to be developed in this way, but it is completely unique, nothing could have turned out better than it really did," Fredricson said.
