The French riders dominated Friday’s CSI5*-W 1.50m Prize of ATG at Gothenburg Horse Show taking first, second and third. Fastest of them were Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Blood Diamond du Pont (Diamant de Semilly x Arpege Pierreville) after the pair stopped the clock in 55.88 seconds.

“My horse jumped at his best today and I did my best as well. He is really fast and turned very good, so it was my day!” a happy Anquetin said after his win. “I don’t really know where I won today, but I did six strides between the double and the oxer and Marc did seven, so maybe it was there.”

“This is my second time in Gothenburg, and I love it. For me, this is the best show in the world and I’m happy to be here. The people are friendly, the arena is beautiful with all the flowers and I like the atmosphere.”

The runner-up position went to Marc Dilasser (FRA) with Arioto du Gevres (Diamant de Semilly x Qualisco III) in a time of 56.64 seconds, followed by his compatriot Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Bibici (Norman Pre Noir x Nelfo du Mesnil) who crossed the finish line in 56.75 seconds.

After the three French riders, Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and his super-star King Edward (Edward x Feo) followed in fourth in a time of 58.29 seconds. Fifth place went to Philipp Schulze Topphoff (GER) and Clemens de la Lande (Comme Il Faut x For Pleasure).
