Against the picture-perfect backdrop of Pampelonne Beach at the French Riviera, three of the fastest riders in the world went head-to-head in a breathtaking jump-off in Saturday's CSI5* 1.60m Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of St. Tropez, Ramatuelle. It was Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Chadora Lady (Chacco-Blue x Nintender) who set the standard early and held it, fending off fierce challenges from the current world number one, USA's Kent Farrington with Toulayna (Toulon x Parco) as well as France's Julien Epaillard aboard Donatello d’Auge (Jarnac x Hello Pierville).

In a battle defined by precision and pace, Brash claimed his second LGCT Grand Prix title of the season in style. “She gives you so much confidence," Brash said about Hello Chadora Lady. "Because she's always seeing you, she's always wanting to jump for you, so it's just about containing that energy that she has and, thankfully, it paid off today.”

Kent Farrington, was full of analysis after his second place on the Longines Global Champions Tour podium, failing to take the win, but securing his Golden Ticket to the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs. "We certainly had to take some risks today," Farrington said. "It was a very fast class, Scott went really fast, I thought I could catch him - that first line I probably needed to do one less stride because he had such a great round today.”

“I prefer for sure first, and maybe second, but no, my horse is coming back very well, and I am really happy," the third placed Epaillard said. "I lost a little bit of time on the vertical before the six strides, maybe I could have taken a bit more risk, but if someone last night had told me I would've been third, I would’ve signed for that, so no, very happy.”
